History
1999 – A student consulting company, named Studentische QM-Consulting, under leadership of Patrick Theurer was founded with six fellow students for a first project: Implementation of a quality management system, based on ISO 9001 at a construction company.
2001 – Company was renamed into EMB² and discarded student status.
2002 – Patrick Theurer got single owner of the company.
2005 – First time won a European tendering procedure.
2006 – First Study for a German ministry was published.
2007 – Two new fields of services were added to management consulting: building design as well as economics and planning.
2007 – Additional focus on sustainable construction and environment protection.
2008 – First project in China.
2008 – International Architects joined the team.
2009 – First Chinese joint venture was established in Xi’An, called CN.EU
2010 – First branch office in China.
2010 – First branch office in Germany, Augsburg.
2010 – Mr. Dietrich Theurer joined the company as the second owner, besides his son, after more 40 years with various employers, including over 25 years’ experience with a leading German Consulting Company in management positions in Germany and abroad. Main activities addressed German and International High-Speed-Rail projects ( HSR) – including maglev -  from concept through design and execution to commissioning, project management, claim management.
2011 – Head Office moved to Potsdam, just round the corner of Berlin. Office in Berlin at one Client’s premises will be kept.
